About this cartoon: A panicked President Trump, seeing the economy crash in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, was adamant that things had to open up right away, regardless of there being a spike in deaths from COVID-19. "Red" states were more interested in opening sooner, even without masks or social distancing, and of course saw their COVID-19 cases climb.
